Unboxing the Avenco Gel Memory Foam

The Avenco Gel Memory Foam arrived compressed in rolled-in plastic in a box like all Avenco mattresses, which made it quite easy to unpack. All we had to do was bring the mattress to the bed frame and remove it from the packaging using scissors or any sharp object. All we did was unroll the mattress.

The mattress expanded well to the edges, showing good corner expansion, and in less than 72 hours, the mattress was ready to sleep on. Like all new mattresses, there was a slight smell called off-gassing, which is normal for a mattress and completely harmless. With good ventilation and sunlight access, this harmless odor was gone in about 48 hours.
