Firmness, Feel and Comfort for Puffy Mattress
The Puffy mattress felt a bit harder than we expected from a memory foam mattress. The top comfort layer is soft but also somewhat thin. When our team tried sleeping on the Puffy mattress they experienced a supportive feeling rather than a sinking one which is usually experienced in other foam mattresses.
The Puffy mattress has a smooth, responsive, and bouncy foam feel. Despite having a top layer of slow-moving memory foam, the mattress is not overly thick. It's simple to turn and change positions at night since we largely feel the bouncing of the transition layer. We have tried to sleep on the Puffy mattress in several positions and here are our experience in each case:
The Puffy Original mattress provided our back with the the right amount of comfort and support. Through the comfort layer, our hips sag, but the transition layer prevents them from going all the way in. Additionally, the top layer of memory foam offers nice contouring by following every curve in our bodies.
Sleeping experience in general depends on the person's weight, so our advise here is: you should consider a different mattress if you weigh over 100 Kg (230 lbs). Due of its softness and foam design, the Puffy will not provide the majority of sleepers in this group with enough support. In comparison to the Puffy, which rates 6 out of 10, a mattress that scores 7 or even 8 on the firmness scale would be more suitable for heavy back sleepers.
The Puffy Mattress is best suited for side sleepers. For side sleepers, pressure relief is crucial, and the Puffy does this really well. Insufficient body cradling or too firm mattresses can prevent side sleepers from getting the proper spinal alignment. Side sleepers frequently feel pressure and discomfort in their shoulders and hips when their spine is out of alignment.
The Puffy Mattress is a good choice for side sleepers who weigh less than 100 kg (230 lbs). They'll discover that the medium firmness offers sufficient support and proper spinal alignment. However, heavier side sleepers might require a firmer mattress.
The Puffy Original is not supportive enough for stomach sleeping, especially beneath the hips. Our lower back ache was rising as a result of our center of mass dropping into the mattress.
Depending on their weight and preferences, some lighter stomach or combination sleepers will find comfort on the Puffy. However, most stomach sleepers who weigh 60 Kg (130 lbs) or more would likely find the Puffy mattress to be excessively soft and conforming.
The Puffy Mattress Performance
I'll now discuss a few performance aspects, such as motion isolation, support in various sleeping positions, pain management, ad performance during sex. View the results for the Puffy in these categories below.
In terms of motion isolation, the Puffy mattress excels. There isn't much motion transfer across the mattress' surface when movement takes place or weight is applied to one side of the bed. It is well known that polyfoam and memory foam are superior at isolating motion than other mattress components like springs and coils.
A mattress' ability to isolate motion is crucial for couples who share a bed. Sleepers don't have to worry about being disturbed by their partner's movements during the night when a mattress isolates motion well. Rolling over or getting in and out of bed by one person is quiet.
The Puffy Mattress is infused with cooling gel for optimal temperature control, and though it is covered with a cotton cover that reduces the heat significantly, still you have to keep in mind it is a foam mattress after all. So, if you like sleeping warm then this mattress is good for you, but if your body gets too hot at night or you live in a hot place then may be you should consider a different mattress type. There are of course other aspects of temperature control besides the mattress. A person's choice of sleepwear, bedding, and bedroom temperature all have an impact on how warm or cool they feel at night.
Puffy Mattress Pain Relief Performance
Every sleeper must take into account how a bed relieves pressure at the shoulders and hips. It's crucial if you have pain issues because a pressure-relieving mattress can assist prevent and reduce stiffness and discomfort.
Using a pressure map, we calculated the amount of pressure relief provided by the Puffy mattress. As shown in the figure, the blue or green-colored areas show low pressure exerted on the mattress, whereas those from orange to red denote high pressure. This map shows that the Puffy Mattress has a high pressure relieving, thus a high pain reduction performance especially for light or medium-weight back sleepers.
The ideal mattress for sex will be somewhat sensitive and springy so that both you and your partner may move around without difficulty. The Puffy is a decent mattress for sex, in my opinion. You won't feel very buoyant in this bed, and you'll feel more "in" it than "on top" of it. I would suggest an innerspring mattress if you're looking for a mattress that is especially good for sex.

Following, comes the The Climate Comfort layer, which serves as the Puffy's transition layer and is intended to stop sleepers from sinking too deeply into the mattress, is located below. It is also intended to control mattress temperature, preventing nighttime overheating of sleepers.
