Who it suits
Consider it if
- You want a 30-night return window instead of a final-sale base.
- You want head and foot movement plus massage, lighting, charging, and saved positions.
- You need zero-clearance placement inside a compatible platform or decorative frame.
Skip it if
- You expect full parts, labor, and transportation coverage for all ten warranty years.
- You need proven long-term motor or remote reliability from a broad independent owner sample.
- Your mattress manufacturer has not confirmed adjustable-base compatibility.
Adjustment and controls
The current base provides independent head and foot elevation, a zero-gravity preset, a one-touch flat function, and programmable positions through a wireless remote. Massage, two USB ports, and an under-bed light are built in. The legs can be stacked in 3-inch increments up to 12 inches, or removed for zero-clearance use.1
King and California king configurations use two connected bases. Helix says they can be operated together or separately, with a remote, saved settings, massage, and USB ports for each side. That is useful for couples only when the mattress setup also allows independent articulation.
Price and sizes
Helix lists Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California king configurations. The Queen was $999 on July 19, 2026. Promotions change, so the checkout price matters more than a crossed-out reference price.
Trial, returns, and warranty
The 30-night trial begins at delivery, and Helix says it will organize an eligible return. Free standard shipping applies in the contiguous United States; Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada have added charges.2
The tiered warranty deserves a close read. Years zero through two include covered parts and authorized labor and transportation. Years three through five are parts-only. The final five years exclude several major electrical components and apply a prorated charge. Buyers should not interpret “10 year” as ten years of complete replacement protection.3
What owners add
Helix publishes exact-model customer feedback and states that the reviews are unedited, while disclosing that selected customers may be compensated for review collection. A separate Reddit owner reports a good experience but offers little detail.14 That evidence supports the practical appeal of articulation, but it is not sufficient to establish long-term failure rates. We would give the return policy more weight than the rating presentation when judging purchase risk.
