Layla Adjustable Base Plus is most compelling for buyers who will use its documented wall-hugging movement and broad convenience features. Our July 2026 research found a 30-night trial, but a premium price and heavy frame remain practical tradeoffs. We have not operated the base or established long-term motor, app, or remote reliability.

Stay closer to the nightstand
The documented wall-hugging movement slides the deck back as the head rises, reducing how far the sleeper moves from the wall.
A broad convenience package
Listed features include massage, four USB ports, lighting, saved positions, app control, and Alexa support. We have not tested their operation.
A heavy frame to position

Consider it if

  • You want a short return trial instead of a final-sale purchase.

Skip it if

  • You want the lightest, simplest, or least expensive base.
  • You would not use app, Alexa, massage, or wall-hugging features.
  • You lack help moving a 141-pound Queen frame into place.

Adjustment, wall-hugging, and controls

The remote raises the head and feet independently, stores three custom positions, and includes one-touch flat and zero-gravity settings. Split King bases can operate independently beneath two Twin XL mattresses or sync beneath one flexible King mattress.

Wall-hugging is the meaningful differentiator. A conventional base moves the sleeper forward as the head rises; Layla's deck also travels backward, reducing the distance from the wall. Four stacked leg segments set the listed overall height between 9 and 15 inches. The Queen measures 59.5 by 79.5 inches, so it is slightly narrower and shorter than nominal mattress dimensions.

Massage and connected features

Head and leg vibration zones have three intensities and a timed shutoff. The frame adds four USB ports, perimeter lighting, app control, and Alexa integration. These are convenience features, not evidence that the base improves a health condition.

Price and sizes

Layla sells Twin XL, Queen, King, and Split King. On July 19, 2026, Twin XL was $1,124, Queen was $1,224, and the two-piece King configurations were $2,248. The Queen's price is competitive for wall-hugging and connected controls, but buyers who only need articulation can spend less.

Trial, returns, and warranty

The base has a 30-night trial after a required two-week try. Eligible returns and standard shipping are free in the contiguous 48 states; Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada have fees. Layla lists a 10-year limited warranty for defects in materials and workmanship, but the product page does not present that headline as ten years of cost-free full replacement.

What owners add

Layla displays 100 exact-model reviews. Visible verified buyers praise frequent position changes for reading, watching TV, and sleeping. One owner says finding the preferred position and adapting to Split King took time. The sample shown on the sales page is positive and brand-hosted, so it does not establish long-term app, motor, or remote failure rates.
