The SONU Adjustable Base was straightforward to assemble, moved smoothly through its head and foot positions, and remained stable and quiet in our use. It took about 20 minutes to assemble without specialized tools, heavy lifting, or a frame-flipping step. The wireless remote was simple to operate, and the saved flat, lounge, zero-gravity, and head-elevation positions worked as expected. Its fit is narrow. SONU designed the base around the SONU Sleep System, and the platform dimensions differ slightly from standard nominal mattress dimensions. Unboxing and assembly
The base arrived in protected, labeled sections with organized hardware and clear instructions. We positioned the head and foot sections, joined them with the included hand-fastened hardware, attached the legs, connected power, and paired the base with the SONU system. The complete assembly took about 20 minutes. We did not need specialized tools, lift and flip a fully assembled frame, or troubleshoot missing parts. The frame felt stable after fastening, and the remote responded correctly.
Positioning, stability, and noise
The remote raises the head and foot sections independently and provides saved flat, lounge, zero-gravity, and head-elevation positions. During our use, the platform moved smoothly, stayed stable under shifting weight, and did not produce squeaks. That supports the base for ordinary position changes, but our test was not long enough to predict motor or remote life over years. “Zero gravity” and “anti-snore” are names for preset angles.
