How we reviewed it
Sleepiverse assembled and operated the reviewed base with the SONU Sleep System, checking setup, head and foot movement, controls, stability, noise, and practical mattress fit. The review supports those direct observations, but not failure rates or years of motor and electrical durability.

Unboxing and assembly
The base arrived in protected, labeled sections with organized hardware and clear instructions. We positioned the head and foot sections, joined them with the included hand-fastened hardware, attached the legs, connected power, and paired the base with the SONU system.
The complete assembly took about 20 minutes. We did not need specialized tools, lift and flip a fully assembled frame, or troubleshoot missing parts. The frame felt stable after fastening, and the remote responded correctly.
Positioning, stability, and noise
The remote raises the head and foot sections independently and provides saved flat, lounge, zero-gravity, and head-elevation positions. During our use, the platform moved smoothly, stayed stable under shifting weight, and did not produce squeaks. That supports the base for ordinary position changes, but our test was not long enough to predict motor or remote life over years.
“Zero gravity” and “anti-snore” are names for preset angles. The positions may feel comfortable, and head elevation may change positional snoring for some people, but the base does not diagnose or treat sleep apnea, pain, circulation problems, or another health condition. Persistent loud snoring, gasping, witnessed breathing pauses, or significant daytime sleepiness warrants medical evaluation.
Compatibility and dimensions
The current base is listed in Twin XL, Queen, King, and California king. The Queen measures 58 by 78.7 inches, smaller than a nominal 60-by-80-inch Queen. The other listed platform dimensions also differ slightly from nominal mattress dimensions. That is another reason to treat it as a SONU-system base rather than assume universal fit.
The legs can be removed for zero-clearance use on a suitable platform. SONU lists a 700-pound capacity. That total has to include the mattress and every sleeper, not body weight alone.SONU current specifications
Price and sizes
On July 19, 2026, Twin XL was $699, Queen was $799, and King and California king were $999. Those prices are lower than the feature-heavy bases in our comparison, but the SONU omits massage, lighting, and charging.
Returns and warranty
SONU lists free contiguous-US shipping and added charges for Alaska and Hawaii. The adjustable base is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. The product page lists a 10-year limited warranty, but buyers should request and read the complete warranty terms before ordering because the public product summary does not spell out every covered component, service cost, or exclusion.
What our test cannot establish
Our assembly and operation findings support easy setup, stable use, low observed noise, and a functional remote on the unit we used. They do not establish service life, failure frequency, or how a different unit will perform after years. The current direct owner record for the exact base is also too limited to estimate those outcomes confidently.
