Our hands-on blanket review process
Blankets are tested in the kind of use they are designed for, including overnight sleep, lounging, layering, or weighted pressure. We record the exact size, weight, fill, shell, care method, test conditions, and duration.
What we evaluate
The assessment covers warmth, breathability, moisture handling, softness, weight distribution, freedom of movement, noise, edge and seam quality, fill migration, pilling, shedding, cleaning, drying, and storage. Weighted blankets are also checked for pocket consistency, pressure distribution, and whether the weight remains manageable during position changes.
We compare the observed experience with material specifications and owner reports about laundering, durability, and long-term comfort. A marketing material is credited only when it produces a practical benefit during use.
Scoring and reporting
Rebuilt blanket reviews use a category-specific 0–10 rubric. The review explains the test conditions, intended user, strengths, tradeoffs, care burden, policies, alternatives, and update history. Older converted scores remain transitional until the individual product is reassessed under the published rubric.
