EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress Overview

Pros

  • Effective Cooling: The Green Tea-infused Gel AeroFusion Foam enhances airflow and heat dissipation, preventing the mattress from heat retention. This makes it a great option for hot sleepers who struggle with overheating during the night. Unlike traditional memory foam, which tends to trap warmth, this cooling gel technology helps regulate temperature, keeping you cool and comfortable throughout the night.
  • Great Pressure Relief: The memory foam construction of the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress contours to your body, distributing weight evenly and reducing pressure points. This is especially beneficial for side sleepers, as it cushions the shoulders and hips, relieving discomfort. Back sleepers also benefit from proper spinal alignment, reducing stress on the lower back and improving overall sleep quality.
  • Affordability: Despite its high-quality materials and advanced cooling technology, the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress remains budget friendly. It offers exceptional value compared to premium memory foam alternatives, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a comfortable mattress without overspending.

Cons

  • Minimal Edge Support: Since this is an all-foam mattress, it doesn’t have reinforced edges like hybrid models. This means that the edges may feel less stable when sitting or sleeping near them, potentially causing a "rolling off" sensation. If you frequently use the edges of your bed or need strong support, this might be a drawback.

Who we Recommend the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress for

  • Back Sleepers: Back sleepers will appreciate the balanced support and pressure relief this mattress provides. The BraceSleeper™ Support Foam at the base ensures that the spine remains properly aligned while preventing excessive sinking. The memory foam adapts to the natural curves of the body, reducing tension and keeping the lower back.
  • Hot Sleepers: If you tend to sleep hot, this mattress is a great option. The Green Tea-infused Gel AeroFusion Foam enhances airflow and temperature regulation, preventing heat buildup. Unlike traditional memory foam, which can trap body heat, this mattress helps maintain a cool and breathable sleeping surface, ensuring uninterrupted sleep throughout the night.
  • Couples: The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress is designed with excellent motion isolation, making it a solid choice for couples. If one partner tosses and turns at night, the memory foam absorbs movement, preventing disturbances on the other side of the bed. This makes it ideal for light sleepers who share their mattress with a partner.
  • Budget-Conscious Sleepers: For those looking for a comfortable yet affordable mattress, the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress is a great investment. It offers high-quality materials, cooling features, and pressure relief at an affordable price. Compared to other memory foam mattresses on the market, this model provides great value without sacrificing comfort or durability.

Unboxing the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress

The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress arrived compressed and rolled in a compact box, making it easy to move around and set up. While the mattress is relatively lightweight compared to models with thicker foam layers, we still recommend having a second person assist with unboxing for a smoother setup.

Once unpacked, the mattress started expanding immediately and reached about 90% of its full size within the first 8 hours. Since it consists of only four layers, it took around 9 hours to fully inflate to its intended thickness. Unlike firmer models, the edges didn’t take long to reach their shape, as they are not designed to be firm.

There was a mild "new mattress" smell, which is common due to the compression and packaging process. However, it quickly dissipated within a couple of hours in a well-ventilated room, leaving no lingering odors.

Firmness, Feel, and Comfort For EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress

EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress Firmness

EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress Firmness Scale

The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress has a medium-firm feel, rating 6/10 on the firmness scale. This balance of support and cushioning makes it an excellent choice for back and side sleepers, ensuring proper spinal alignment while still offering pressure relief.

The BraceSleeper™ Support Foam at the base provides a durable and stable foundation, preventing excessive sinkage and maintaining even weight distribution. Meanwhile, the Green Tea-Infused Gel AeroFusion Foam adds a layer of contouring comfort while keeping the mattress cool and breathable.

This firmness level is ideal for sleepers who need a combination of softness and support without feeling stuck or sinking too deeply into the mattress.

EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress Feel

The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress delivers a comfortably plush yet supportive sleep experience. The Green Tea-Infused Gel AeroFusion Foam conforms gently to the body’s natural curves, offering a personalized feel without restricting movement.

Additionally, the Jacquard Fabric Cover enhances breathability, providing a cool-to-the-touch sensation that prevents overheating. This combination of cooling technology and adaptive foam ensures a refreshing and restful night’s sleep.

EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress Comfort

Comfort is influenced by factors such as body weight and sleeping position. To evaluate the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress, we conducted tests with individuals of varying weights and sleep styles.

Sleeper WeightBack SleepersSide SleepersStomach Sleepers
Lightweight (Under 150 lb)Very GoodVery GoodExcellent
Average (150 – 250 lb)ExcellentExcellentExcellent
Above Average (Over 250 lb)Very GoodGoodVery Good

During our tests, we found that the EGOHOME Dreamer mattress is best suited for stomach and back sleepers, as it provides sufficient contouring and support to maintain a neutral spine position. However, side sleepers and heavier individuals may find it too soft, as it could allow for excessive sinkage, which may lead to discomfort over time.

This mattress provides a balanced level of comfort, thanks to its Green Tea-Infused Gel AeroFusion Foam, which helps relieve pressure in key areas like the hips, shoulders, and lower back. Its medium-firm feel offers the right blend of softness and support, making it ideal for long-lasting comfort.

Additionally, the Jacquard Fabric Cover enhances breathability, keeping the mattress cool and comfortable throughout the night. The motion isolation also ensures that sleep remains undisturbed, making it a great choice for couples who share a bed.

Constructions, Materials, and Design

Materials and Design

The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress is thoughtfully designed with high-quality materials to provide a comfortable and supportive sleep experience. Its Jacquard Fabric Cover enhances breathability and airflow, ensuring a cool and refreshing feel throughout the night.

The comfort layer features Green Tea Infused Gel AeroFusion Foam, which not only adapts to body contours for superior pressure relief but also promotes relaxation with its natural green tea infusion.

Beneath this, the BraceSleeper™ Support Foam provides a sturdy foundation, ensuring durability and optimal spinal alignment.

Layers

  1. Jacquard Fabric Cover: This premium cover enhances airflow and promotes breathability, ensuring a cool and comfortable sleep. Its durable polyester design increases the longevity of the mattress while providing a soft and cozy feel.
  2. Green Tea Infused Gel AeroFusion Foam: This layer combines gel-infused memory foam with green tea extracts to enhance temperature regulation, relieve stress, and keep the mattress fresh. It adapts to body contours, providing excellent pressure relief and balanced support.
  3. BraceSleeper™ Support Foam: A high-density base layer that ensures long-lasting durability and stability. It evenly distributes weight, helps maintain spinal alignment, and prevents excessive sinkage, making the mattress supportive for back and side sleepers.
  4. Fiberglass-Free FR Inner Cover: A flame-retardant barrier that enhances safety without using fiberglass or harsh chemicals. It ensures a healthier sleep environment while maintaining fire safety regulations.

Performance of EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress

Cooling

Cooling is essential for a comfortable sleep experience, especially for individuals who tend to overheat during the night. A mattress with effective cooling prevents heat buildup, promoting a cooler and more restful sleep. This is particularly beneficial for hot sleepers or those living in warmer climates.

To test the cooling performance, we conducted a 20-minute heat retention test, where we lay on the mattress and monitored heat buildup. This helped us determine how well the mattress regulates heat.

The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress showed good cooling performance. Its Green Tea-Infused Gel AeroFusion Foam effectively dissipated heat, keeping the surface cool to the touch throughout the test. Additionally, the breathable bamboo fiber cover enhanced airflow, preventing heat from getting trapped.

As a result, we found that this mattress offers one of the best cooling performances for an all-foam bed. Hot sleepers will find it highly effective in keeping them comfortable throughout the night.

We rate the cooling performance of the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress a 4.5/5.

Responsiveness

Responsiveness determines how quickly a mattress adapts to movement, making it easier to shift positions without feeling "stuck." A more responsive mattress is beneficial for combination sleepers who frequently change sleeping positions.

To measure responsiveness, we conducted a ball drop test by placing a 20-pound ball on the mattress and timing how long it took for the surface to recover to its original shape after removing the ball.

The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress showed moderate responsiveness, with the foam taking about 1.7 seconds to regain its shape. While the memory foam contours well to the body, it does not have the quick bounce of a hybrid mattress with coils. This makes it better suited for back sleepers who prefer a gently conforming surface rather than a highly responsive one.

For most sleepers, the responsiveness level strikes a balance between support and ease of movement, but strict combination sleepers or those who prefer a bouncier feel might prefer a hybrid model.

We rate the responsiveness of the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress a 3.9/5.

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation is an important factor for couples and light sleepers, as it prevents movement from transferring across the bed, allowing both partners to rest undisturbed.

To evaluate motion isolation, we conducted two tests. First, we placed a glass of water on one side of the mattress and dropped a 20-pound ball on the other side to observe movement. The water remained completely still, indicating good motion absorption.

In the second test, one reviewer lay on one side of the bed while another person tossed and turned on the other. The movement was barely felt, confirming that the mattress minimizes disturbances.

Thanks to its memory foam layers, the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress absorbs movement well, making it a great option for couples or anyone who shares a bed.

We rate the motion isolation of the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress a 4.6/5.

Edge Support

Edge support affects how well a mattress holds up when sitting or lying near the edges. Strong edge support allows sleepers to use the full surface of the bed without feeling like they might roll off, which is especially important for couples and those who need extra stability when getting in and out of bed.

For our test, we applied firm pressure along the edges and observed compression levels while sitting and lying near the sides. The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress showed average edge support, which is common for most all-foam mattresses.

On the second test, our reviewer sat on the edge, and the foam compressed significantly, causing a sinking feeling. Lying near the perimeter also resulted in noticeable sinkage, making the edges feel less stable than the center of the mattress.

While the mattress performs well in other areas, the lack of reinforced perimeter support makes it less ideal for anyone who relies on a firmer surface on the sides of the bed.

We rate the edge support of the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress a 3/5.

Noise

A quiet mattress is crucial for undisturbed sleep, especially for light sleepers or those sharing a bed. While hybrid mattresses often produce noise due to coil systems, all-foam mattresses are typically silent.

To test noise levels, we dropped a 20-pound ball onto the mattress while using sensitive microphones to detect any sounds produced.

The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress performed exceptionally well in this test. Since it is made entirely of foam, it absorbed impact silently, with zero noise detected. Unlike hybrid mattresses, there was no creaking or squeaking, making it an excellent option for noise-sensitive sleepers or couples who want a discreet sleep surface.

We rate the noise performance of the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress a perfect 5/5.

Sex

For couples, sex performance depends on responsiveness, edge support, noise, and comfort. A good mattress should allow for easy movement, provide stability, and remain silent during activities.

The EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress offers a moderate bounce, thanks to its memory foam layers that contour to the body while still allowing movement. However, since it lacks coils, it does not have the same level of bounce as a hybrid mattress.

Edge support is decent, but it may feel slightly unstable for activities near the perimeter. On the positive side, the mattress is completely silent, which is a major advantage for privacy.

Overall, while the mattress is comfortable and noise-free, couples who prefer a bouncier, more supportive surface may find hybrid mattresses to be a better fit.

We rate the sex performance of the EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress a 4/5.

Pressure Relief

Pressure relief is important for preventing discomfort and reducing strain on key pressure points such as the shoulders, hips, and lower back, helping sleepers avoid soreness and stiffness after long hours of rest.

To assess the pressure relief of the EGOHOME Mattress, we conducted a pressure mapping test to track pressure distribution across different sleeping positions.

These are the results shown in our test according to each region:

EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress Pressure Map

  • Back Region: The pressure map displayed mostly blue hues, indicating excellent pressure relief for back sleepers. The mattress evenly distributes weight, reducing pressure on the lumbar region while supporting the spine’s natural curve. This makes it ideal for individuals who need proper back support throughout the night.
  • Shoulder Region: We observed a mix of green to yellow colors, suggesting moderate pressure relief for side sleepers. The foam provides sufficient contouring, helping relieve tension in the shoulders while maintaining a balanced feel. Most back sleepers should find this comfortable, but heavier side sleepers may experience minor pressure buildup in this area.
  • Hips Region: The mapping system showed blue and green tones, confirming good pressure relief for stomach sleepers. The foam layers cradle the hips, reducing pressure buildup and allowing proper spinal alignment. This is particularly beneficial for those with hip discomfort or anyone seeking enhanced comfort in this region.

Overall, the EGOHOME Mattress excels in providing pressure relief for stomach sleepers, ensuring a comfortable sleep surface that adapts well to body contours. While heavier sleepers may experience slightly more pressure in the shoulders, the mattress still performs well in reducing discomfort across all tested positions.

We rate the pressure relief performance of the EGOHOME Mattress a 4.5/5.

FAQs about EGOHOME Dreamer Mattress

Does the EGOHOME Dreamer mattress have strong edge support?

The edge support on the EGOHOME Dreamer mattress is weaker than hybrid mattresses due to its all-foam construction. When sitting or lying near the edge, there is noticeable compression, which may make the perimeter feel less stable. While this won’t be an issue for most sleepers, those who frequently use the edges of the bed might struggle.

Is the EGOHOME Dreamer mattress good for couples?

Yes, the EGOHOME Dreamer mattress is a good choice for couples due to its outstanding motion isolation. The memory foam absorbs movement effectively, preventing disturbances when one partner shifts position or gets out of bed. Additionally, the mattress is silent, making it ideal for those who are easily woken by noise.

What sleeping positions is this mattress best for?

The EGOHOME Dreamer mattress is best suited for stomach and back sleepers, offering excellent pressure relief and spinal support. Its memory foam layers contour to the body, reducing pressure on the hips and lower back. However, side sleepers and heavier individuals may not find it as supportive, as the softer foam may lead to increased pressure in the shoulder region, leading to discomfort.
